Chastity Story – Hackers Can Remotely Lock Internet-Enabled Male Chastity Cage / This is the intended use, not just the intended user
A security flaw in an Internet-enabled male chastity device could allow hackers to remotely control the gadget and permanently lock users out, researchers revealed today.
Chastity Story
The Cellmate Chastity Cage, made by Chinese company Qiui, allows users to give access to their genitals to a partner who can unlock and unlock the cage remotely using an app. But according to British security firm Pen Test Partners, a number of flaws in the app’s design mean that “anyone could remotely lock down all devices and prevent users from relaxing alone”.

Worse, because there is no manual override or physical key to the virginity cage, locked users have little chance of escaping. For one, cutting through the cage’s hardened steel pendant is an operation that requires a bolt cutter or angle grinder, and is even more difficult when the pendant in question is firmly attached around the wearer’s testicles. Another, discovered by Pen Test Partners, is overloading the circuit that controls the lock’s motor with three volts of power (about two AA batteries’ worth).
News of the security flaw was first reported by TechCrunch and suggests it’s worth doing your research before buying “smart” devices with more intimate use cases.
“It’s not uncommon to find this kind of problem in many areas of the Internet of Things, and teledildonics is no exception,” said Alex Lomas, security researcher at Pen Test Partners.
Through a direct message. “Over the years, both we and other researchers have found similar problems with various sex toy manufacturers. Personally, I think the closest fixtures should probably be higher than your light bulbs.
Hacked Chastity Belt’ Is The Only News Story In Town Today
Past security flaws found in online sex toys have allowed hackers to hijack live streaming videos from vibrators and control Bluetooth-enabled butt plugs. You can watch a video below that explains the Pen Test Partners error.
In the case of the Cellmate Chastity Cage, the makers of the device seem unusually uncommunicative in responding to the error. Researchers at Pen Test Partners say they first disclosed the issue to Qiui in April and received a quick response, but the company did not fully address the vulnerability and has since stopped responding to emails. We’ve reached out to Qiui for more information and will update this story if he hears back.
The bugs come from the API used to communicate between the Purity Nest and its mobile app. This allows hackers to not only remotely control the device, but also access information including location data and passwords. Qiui updated the Purity Nest app in June to fix the bug, but users who haven’t updated their app are still vulnerable.
, Qiu is shy. Disabling the old API entirely will fix the security flaw, but risks locking out users who haven’t updated the app. However, if the original API remains active, older versions of the app will continue to work with the security flaw. Pen Test Partners says that after months of discussions with Qiui and other independent researchers who discovered those problems, they decided to go public to encourage a more complete solution. The company says its bug report can also prevent hackers from trying to exploit the problem by disguising its true nature.
My Life Story
, but this particular glitch seems to be the least of Celmat’s problems. Reviews of the device’s mobile apps on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store include many complaints from frustrated customers who say the app often crashes randomly.
“After three days the app completely stopped working and I’m stuck!” One user writes. “This is dangerous software, don’t lock yourself out!” Another one-star review reads: “App stopped opening after update. It’s appalling considering how much trust there is in him and the lack of explanation on the site.” A third complains: “My partner is locked out! Funny because there are no new replies to the email so I don’t know if it has been fixed yet. So scary! And scary! Depending on what the application controls, it should be reliable.
So, what can people do to avoid this kind of security lapse when buying internet-enabled sex toys? Lomas says that unfortunately there are no guarantees when buying these products. “It’s very difficult to tell by looking at a product or app whether it’s securely storing your data or capturing detailed usage information,” he says. But a good place to start is to do your research before you buy.
“Hopefully in the future, some state and federal governments will start implementing standards for IoT products, but in the meantime, look for ‘product name + vulnerability,’” says Lomas, “or look for pages on the vendor’s website that talk about security. (And not just the old ‘military encryption’ trope!)”Welcome back to Stories from South Place! Joining me today is one of my lifelong best friends, Chastity Adams!
